Best IGCSE Courses

Formerly known as Ordinary (“O”) Levels, the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is the main qualification for British students when they complete their compulsory period of secondary education at the age of 16. The IGCSE is generally regarded as being more suitable for international students while most UK nationals take then GCSE.
Students typically study up to 9 (I)GCSE subjects over 2 academic years or up to 6 (I)GCSE subjects over 3-4 terms with a full timetable each week. Upon successful completion of their (I)GCSE courses, students generally proceed to an IB, A Level or University Foundation Course to qualify for entry to university. (I)GCSE examinations are set according to nationally agreed criteria that provide guidance on syllabus content. A national quality assurance framework in the UK ensures that (I)GCSE standards are consistent between the various awarding bodies and syllabuses from year to year.
GK Consultants is happy to provide specialist tutoring in different (I)GCSE subjects. GK Consultants tutors work continuously to ensure their (I)GCSE students receive the best tuition available and show the best academic performance of which they are capable. The (I)GCSE subjects they teach include Combined Sciences, Art, Biology, Business, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Mathematics, French, History, Geography, Psychology, English, Sociology, Law & Computing / IT. Other subjects may be available on request – please contact GK Consultants for further details.
Academic English support is also available at GK Consultants for international students whose first language is other than English. Students normally require IELTS 4.5 or TOEFL 450 or an equivalent pass grade in another Intermediate level EFL examination to be able to succeed at (I)GCSE.
