Using Python on Raspberry Pi

Hands-on Programming Course (Python, Machine Learning, Hardware)

This program focuses on physical sciences and emphasizes experiential learning. Each day the students work on programmed experiments and on their own projects. The experiments include programming in Python using the Raspberry Pi connected to various electronic modules: LED lights, Servos, Ultrasonic, IR, and temperature sensors with display, together with other sensor types using Machine Learning models. Those attending the program can choose an optional project to do based on the Raspberry Pi.

Our Raspberry Pi projects enable students to explore computing, and to learn how to control and communicate with various electronic modules using Python. This course is perfect for students wanting to learn Python and who want to explore hardware and learn to apply machine learning in their projects. The beginning of the course is dedicated to setting up and introducing the Raspberry Pi. Each of the guided projects includes circuit construction and Python programming. Included are two machine learning projects in which students train their own model and apply it to create a smart electronic system. Students will write code to interact with input and output devices such as LEDs, IR sensors, servos, and more.

The Rasberry Pi is a single-board computer that was designed for teaching programming and for creating electronic projects.
